  • The Principles and Practice of Aerodynamic Yoga

    What makes Aerodynamic Yoga different from other forms of yoga? How can being more aware of aerodynamics help not only your yoga practice but also your physical and mental health? What creates ‘drag’ and how can I reduce it? All these questions and more answered in this informative and enlightening workshop.

  • Heather Firefly Yoga

    You will spend your entire life in the company of yourself, so it makes sense to understand who you are and why. We are essentially a human algorithm; a completely individual code which determines how we respond to a variety of life stimuli, whether that be physical, physiological or mental/ emotional. in order to help us understand the true nature of our energy patterns we will combine a detailed examination of Ayurvedic Doshas alongside a yoga practice to help us identify patterns of responses and learn to reset our innate code so that we have a greater chance of maintaining a healthy balance.

  • Physical Engineering; Backbends

  • The Ultimate Relaxation Experience

    This workshop aims to give the individual the tools to be able to relax in any situation from suffering insomnia to workplace stress. We will explore Yoga Nidra alongside various breathing and meditation techniques.£30 (YHM £25)

  • Get The Balance Right

    A yoga workshop which will help bring your attention to those areas of your life that throw you off balance. The techniques that you learn on the yoga mat to maintain a steady posture will be the tools that you use to keep balance in your life. Experiment, experience and learn!

  • The A.G.E. of the EGO

    Ambition, Greed, Elitism. All ego driven and actively encouraged in today’s society. So what’s the antedote?
    Learn how to recognise the narrative of A.G.E. and how to reduce its damaging effects through the combined practice of mantra based meditation and selected yoga postures.

  • Here Comes the Sun Parts I & II

    Two separate 90 minute workshops where we examine in detail the two Sun Salutation sequences.
    These sequences link posture to breath and are a meditation in movement warm up to prepare the body and mind for The Practice, so essential for anyone who wants to join The Practice class.
    Each individual 90 minute workshop costs £15;The entire session costs £30 (YHM discount applies)

  • Happy Feet

    What level of importance do you place on your feet during your yoga practice and on a daily basis? This workshop will help you understand their value through combined study and yoga practice that revolves around the structure and activity of the musculoskeletal system in the feet and their grounding influence in the postures. We will examine potential disorders that throw us off balance and learn how to use our own weight to self correct. Includes self foot massage and reflexology techniques.   • What’s The Problem

    Your brain is in charge of monitoring your internal and external environments in order to maintain your health and safety. So why do we suffer so unnecessarily? We are predisposed to react according to our individual nature but sometimes our reactions are unhelpful.
    This workshop aims to help you identify the obstacles that you will face in the process of working towards your chosen goal and encourage you to explore different responses to those obstacles for the benefit of our optimum mental health and well being.

  • Yoga for HIPsters!

    Exploring the often vulnerable hip & pelvic area and exploring postures that will help to increase awareness in stability. This workshop will give you a greater understanding of the reasons why we struggle to open our hips and the importance of hip alignment and flexibility.

  • Stripped to the Core

    Taking the layers right back, examining not just the muscles and skeleton, but also the enteric nervous system ( our primitive nervous system and emotional centre) along with the three chakras (energy centres) that are located in this region. Find out why having a strong core is necessary for more than postural or aesthetic reasons!

  • Every Breath You Take

    This physical and physiological engineering workshop will involve some basic yoga postures and sequences in order to demonstrate the uses of the various techniques you will learn. Yogic Breathing, Harnessing Energy Breath, Skull Cleansing Breath, Alternate Nostril Breathing and Aerodynamic Breathing techniques all to aid energy and stress management for optimum health and well being. Suitable for beginners and experienced yoga practitioners.

  • Physical Engineering:
    Defying Gravity

    When faced with the more challenging postures like Crow/Crane, Firefly and Headstand there is one key element that will facilitate their safe execution; getting the mind into your gravity centre, the pelvis/hip area. This workshop will help experienced students who struggle with this aspect of their practice.

  • The A.R.T. of Letting Go

    What is holding you back? What causes you distress? Whatever our hopes and dreams when reality sets in and we realise that we are not living as we had hoped we struggle to literally let go of our imagined existence. Learn how to overcome the ambush of disappointment and not dwell in its realm. Onwards and upwards! Includes yoga practice.

  • Ashtanga Tool Kit

    Part of the Immersion in Ashtanga (Primary Series) workshops led by our Ashtanga expert Tahlia Miles.
    This informative workshop is suitable for beginners and those who either already practice Ashtanga or those who would like to start their Ashtanga practice. Literally provides you with the ‘tools’ that you will need to safely work your way through the intensive and thorough yoga practice that is Ashtanga. Includes detailed instruction of physical placement and alignment, transition awareness and breath work (pranayama) with guided meditation and relaxation to finish.

    This introductory workshop is ideal for those who would like to gain knowledge and experience in the instinctive art of massage.   • Breaking Bad…Habits!

    An in depth yoga workshop that explores the reasons behind our bad habits and the best ways to break them! A habit is simply an action and it can be a positive or negative action. So we will explore our attitudes towards ourselves with respect to the habit we wish to break and how we can replace a ‘bad’ action with a good one!

  • Living with the Perfectionist

    The perfectionist exists in all of us to a greater or lesser degree and it’s a hard and critical taskmaster who takes no prisoners!   • Induction to Yoga for Pregnancy

    This induction workshop is for mothers-to-be who would like to practice yoga through their pregnancy but have no previous yoga experience. You should be beyond 14 weeks in your pregnancy and have your doctor’s or midwife’s approval before starting any exercise programme.
